But the art of “Borking” a judicial nominee is something for which our public square is much, much poorer. It is not a good thing that our Judiciary has become so divided and this Kennedy clip ought to live in infamy:

Great post. Good Job! This performance, as well as the death of Mary Jo Kopechne, must not be forgotten when remembering Ted Kennedy

  2. MYOB (a/k/a John in Nashville) says:

    Stay classy, Joel

  3. Steven Donegal says:

If Reagan hadn’t nominated Bork, Kennedy would not have had to point out the obvious.

    MYOB,

I find it laughable that a person as devoid of class as you would feel the least bit of justification in instructing anyone in how to act “classy.” Any more women you would like to slur in order to score some cheap political points?

    Steven,

I challenge you to find support for just one of the many accusations Kennedy hurled at Bork. You won’t be able to because they were all false. You may not agree with Bork’s judicial philosophy but that is no excuse to viciously lie about the man. Kennedy’s claim that Bork favored segregation was a lie and he knew it.

Kennedy was a lying drunk and nothing more than trash on two legs. He didn’t even have the decency to tell Mary Jo Kopechne’s parents about his involvement when he informed them that she had died.

    Good riddance to bad trash!

Here is the info concerning Kennedy’s shameful actions involving the death of Mary Jo Kopechne.

Joel, do you still have your panties in a wad because I had the temerity to suggest that someone with a history of stealing drugs and a crippled woman’s husband was, shall we say, a bit unqualified to serve as First Lady?

    Get over it.

  7. Despite the many years that have elapsed since I first watched that footage, I find myself no less incensed or outraged. Indeed – good riddance to this despicable human being.
