Let’s Give Obama Some Real Credit
We’re approaching the “one year” anniversary of President Obama’s first year in office. We should all congratulate him for the growth he has helped this country achieve in his first year in office:
- A larger unemployment and underemployment rate
- Greater government spending
- Increased government ownership of private entities
- More debt than before
- An increase of military entanglements abroad
- Two terrorist attacks on American soil/airspace
As President Obama said last week, “the buck stops with me.” This is his presidency. “Cash for A Clunker” could be the title for the book of Obama’s first year in office.

woo hoo underemployment!
how much cash would it take to buy out the clunker in office?
Alberto-
What are the “two terrorist attacks” you are referring to? I am not saying they didn’t happen, but I don’t recall anything, unless we are thinking of the terms differently.
Fort Hood and Detroit—those were both acts of terrorism, the administration’s nomenclature notwithstanding…
Ah. So not like Giuliani’s concept of terrorist attacks during the Bush Admin in which none occurred after 9/11. Your concept would include incidents like the anthrax attacks, Richard Reid, the El Al attack at the LA airport…
Alberto-
Yea, I realized the Fort Hood situation as I drove home today. I thought about the Christmas Day bomber, but wasn’t sure if he “qualified” because the attempt failed.
Thanks, Alberto, for summing up in two short paragraphs the ‘change’ the left promised to deliver.
Actually, as you know, your list could be far longer but I’ll guess you lacked time and space. You also knew the ‘long’ list wasn’t necessary.
