I’m a pretty big sports fan, but I had never heard of Sean James, until I saw this commercial only moments ago. Al Joyner, I’ve heard of, but only because of his talented late wife, Florence Griffith Joyner, and sister, Jackie Joyner-Kersey.

But here’s my take on this: if you have to tell people you’re a famous athlete, you’re probably not a famous athlete. I can’t imagine, for example, Michael Jordan saying, “Hello, I am Michael Jordan. I am a former professional and college basketball player, and a two-time Olympic gold medalist. I was also a member of six NBA championship teams in the 1990s.”

They ‘celebrate family’ by ’supporting’ their ‘mothers’ and they’re ‘daughters’ in killing their siblings, children and grandchildren?

Indeed, you never heard of this Sean James. And we’ll probably never hear of him again.

  2. ledygrey says:

they’re talking about how us women make the best decisions concerning our families and our health. This reframes the fetus as a medical “problem”, which sort of bypasses the fundamental basis of the Tebow ad.

  3. John Randolph says:

“Hello. I like to think of myself as a famous athlete. And like many of my ilk, I like to treat women as mere objects of my sexual whims. Therefore, I support abortion on command — er, I mean, demand.”

  4. Nick says:

Ummm…Sean James….your mother was wrong. Sorry.

  5. I thought men weren’t supposed to say anything about abortion…Oh! That’s right! Men aren’t supposed to say anything AGAINST abortion.

  6. Steve says:

Weak…very very weak…I’m not surprised mind you, but nevertheless, very very weak.

  7. Joe says:

They ‘celebrate family’ by ’supporting’ their ‘mothers’ and they’re ‘daughters’ in killing their siblings, children and grandchildren?

    Wow, weak is right.

  8. Joe says:

Because a child a difficult medical decision is a terrible thing to waste.

  9. Clare says:

The best decision a woman can make concerning her health and her family is to protect and nurture her children — not to kill them.
