And those Yankee army engineers from a fort named for CS General Henry L. “Rock” Benning went and blew up his collection too. Life is sure weird sometimes.
He shouldn’t have had his grandson in the room. Duh.
The newspaper didn’t mention it…but did the explosion harm anybody not on his property? How did they gain the right to destroy the material.
I agree having the grandson there might have been a bad idea (I don’t remember an age being given).
