Barone maps the Dems’ split; check out Urgent Agena
Michael Barone’s lengthy, factoid-laden tour of the Democratic primary results makes the case that Obama has done ”extraordinarily well in academic and state capital enclaves” while Clinton has done well ”in enclaves dominated by Jacksonians.” (Although it does sound weird to me for someone to refer to Clinton supporters as Jacksonians, I don’t want to get into that right now.) Barone includes a link to the bookmark-worthy Dave Leip’s Atlas of Presidential Elections.
While I’m in the mode of recommending stuff to read, let me mention the (fairly new?) Urgent Agenda blog, written by William Katz, a sometime-contributor to Power Line. Focused primarily but not exclusively on the Presidential campaign, it is updated at least twice a day. Well worth reading.
