Swannblog
RedState has launched Swannblog, a blog devoted to promoting Lynn Swann for Governor of PA next year.
Awesome. Not only is Swann the GOP’s best chance to defeat Ed Rendell (Swann’s main primary challenger got crushed before in 1986 by James Carville for being a member of the Maharishi cult), but he is actually the sort of candidate that Republicans must promote in order to grow as a party.
Swann is black, conservative, and articulate. If Republicans don’t enthusiastically back him, then it sends a terrible signal. Go Swann!
The only problem I have with Swanny is that he went to USC. Other than that, he sounds pretty solid. =)
He went to USC, but he also helped the Steelers win four Super Bowls in the halcyon seventies. I still think the ’76 Super Bowl was one of the greatest games ever, with Swann’s circus catches one of my strongest memories from that game.
