gee, i thought only the 9th was subject to unanimous reversals — btw, as the 8-0 decision would suggest, this really was not a close call — makes you wonder how the 7th butchered it so badly

SFClerk: Easy, the judge who authored the 7th Cir opinion(s), Diane Wood, is a NOW member. As in, gee, judge, how can you not recuse yourself from this panel when you are a MEMBER of the PLAINTIFF CLASS?
Now the unanimous reversal makes a lot more sense, eh? Perhaps somebody should photocopy 28 USC 455 for Judge Wood, too.
