Some very, very confused people.  Especially Mr. “Pro-Life”.

  1. Aborted Fetus says:

“We’ll have to agree to disagree.”

    Thanks.

  2. Mark says:

That’s a really active site you’ve got there Richard.

  3. Joe says:

    BS? I hope so.

I assume NBC is just wildly speculating. Mac should call them on it. But just in case…

    DO NOT BLAME GOV. PALIN.

If Mac wants to second guess his choice, look in the mirror. Frankly I think Sarah Palin is a great choice and Mac’s campaign mishandled her.

Would Mitt Romney have been a better choice. Yep. But that is because the economy nose dived and Mitt knows more about the econony than all the candidates combined. Mac took a gamble and let’s face facts, McCain never liked Mitt much.

So grow up, keep fighting, and no belly aching.

  4. Joe says:

Number 1, that is a very distasteful handle you have. Please do not ever lecture me on how pro choice people are not pro abortion. You do have the right candidate to back, however, in Barack Obama. He fits your sentiments well.

  5. Bear says:

    Joe –

I think poster #1 is being sarcastic. Whoever he is seems to be saying that the “agree to disagree” line is not much comfort to the unborn.

  6. Joe says:

Bear, I get it is a sarcastic joke (at least I hope so)…it is still in very bad taste.

  7. Ragin Cajun says:

Wow. Thanks for the rant fodder. I used it well on my own site.

Mr. Pro-life, please enlighten us all by leaving a comment explaining these BIGGER ISSUES you speak of. Especially if there is an asteroid rapidly approaching earth and only HOPE and CHANGE can stop it!!!!

  8. DrinkMoreWater says:

Mr. Pro life Abort freely: “agree to disagree” = I can’t justify my position

  9. DrinkMoreWater says:

i guess i am not too good yet at XHTML

  10. Mark:

Are you a lib? I’m asking because most libs mistake “activity” for progress; which is the reason for the mindless “change” mantra of the Obamaniacs.

  11. Joe says:

    Red State Update on Ayers

    Funny. I did laugh.

But Ayers really was a terrorist.

    Bill Ayers’ Final Solution?

Bill Ayers is a has been terrorist now, going the Saul Alinski route to achieve his radical goals, but when he was a Weatherman he was just as bad as any terrorist out there now.

  12. The Last Conservative says:

Frankly, those guys looked brainless. How could you say, “It couldn’t get worse.” Hell yes it could get worse. Add tax and spending increases to what we already have and it could get REALLY worse.

The “pro-life” guy says that he has always voted pro-life but now there are “bigger issues.”

These people may call themselves conservatives, but they do not understand the meaning of the word and have just been pressured by family and friends to concede points which are VERY defensible. Did I love McCain? No. But can our country survive Obama? I hope so, but am not sure.

So-called Obamacons seem to be happy “Marching Coolly and Temperately Toward Gormorrah” just so long as they don’t have to put up with slouching Republicans heading to the shining city on a hill or otherwise.

  13. DH says:

A fine example of what public education in the United States hath wrought. Opions based on “feeling” and “gut.” These people are not conservatives; they are fall leaves blowing about on whimsy.

  14. Mark says:

    Richard,

Yes, I’m a liberal (at least compared to those on this site) and will be voting for Obama. More of a Clinton (Bill) Democrat than Obama though.

Putting aside your ad hominem attack, my point is that your “checkmate” proclamation based on a site that’s getting no traction is misplaced. Hint: go google “Conservatives for Change” and look how much blog activity that site is getting this week. Dems4Mccain — not so much.

  15. Not ad hominem at all. It was a logical retort.

Let me be more specific. There are likely as many, perhaps even more, Democrats who are supporting McCain as there are “conservatives” supporting Obama.

By the way, why so defensive? Do you consider being called a “liberal” an attack? Be proud.

  16. Mark says:

I have no problem being called liberal — it was your “mindless” implication.

As for your substantive point, there may well be lots of Democrats supporting McCain, but that’s not what’s getting play. And, the ironic part is that it’s not MSM that’s giving the play on this one — it’s the conservative blogosphere which is going nuts over this. The more the link is disseminated, the worse it is for McCain.

  17. Fireduck says:

Hmmm. Am I the only one who missed in the flurry of news over Powell’s endorsement?

  18. ChrisB says:

If the Tribune really watched him during his Illinois senate years and still says he has fine moral character, their opinion is worth very little.

If more people knew how he “won” his first election, I doubt he’d have made it out of the primary.

  19. Sorry Mark, but “change” and “hope” is mindless, whether you like it or not.

    Change to what, socialism?

    No thanks.

  20. The Tribune? Illinois conservatives have been calling it the Libune for years. It has declined from a RINO rag to a Democrat fish wrapper.

  21. Mark says:

In all honesty, do newspaper endorsements mean anything these days?

  22. Outside of the over 55 demographic probably very little.
