Anti-Christian White Supremacist Shoots Three People at Holocaust Museum
Update: Looks like this guy was a 9/11 “truther” who hated Bush, McCain, and “neo-cons.” (This is not to say, of course, that everyone who holds these views approves of the Holocaust Museum shootings. Given recent goings on here, I thought I had to say that.)
According to the initial press reports, the name of the alleged shooter is James W Von Brunn (age: 89). I did some sleuthing and found some of his sick writings online. Here’s an excerpt from one of the works of this pathetic loser:

To qualify, among other demands, Christians must LOVE THEIR ENEMIES (Jews); give away their personal belongings; eschew knowledge; judge not, despise nature, abandon earthly pleasures, acknowledge that all YHWH’s children are equal; and above all else worship YHWH, the jealous, wrathful, vengeful, unforgiving, genocidal, anthropomorphic tribal god (Jesus’ father) created by Hebrews in their image and likeness. Omnipotent, omniscient YHWH promises Hebrews that they alone shall inherit the earth, that it is commendable to steal from Gentiles, better yet — kill them. Whereas Gentiles, if they fail to worship YHWH, are transported straight to Hell. And it is written, “A little child shall lead them.”
These dangerous, imbecilic, concepts, tenets, and teachings, often treasonous, DESTROYED the Roman Empire and drenched the soil of Europe with Aryan blood for almost 2000 years!
The Big Lie technique, employed by Paul to create the CHRISTIAN RELIGION, also was used to create the HOLOCAUST RELIGION … CHRISTIANITY AND THE HOLOCAUST are HOAXES.
“Christianity” destroyed Roman Civilization. The “Holocaust” Religion is destroying Western Civilization. The Aryan gene-pool dies, “unwept, unhonored and unsung.”
I apologize if this makes you ill, for it makes me ill as well. But sometimes we have to see evil for what it is, and that anti-Semitism is ultimately anti-Christian (even when it is embraced by those who claim to follow Christ).

In a sad SA note: The shooter was also wearing a confederate battle flag hat. Dukes of Hazard this was not, but just cold blooded murder. Usually people mellow with age, but not Von Brunn.
My prayers to the family of the hero victim, Stephen Tyrone Johns, who passed away.
I am sure that the left will come out with the lies that this is right wing extremism. It is not. Von Brunn is no more right wing than Fred Phelps is. They are both depraved scum and in the case of Von Brunn, a depraved scum murderer.
The Von Brunn shooting was a terrorist act and a horrible crime. His victim was a hero. Von Brunn in no way represents my views, any more than scum like Fred Phelps represents view of most Christians. But I know that Charles Johnson and other mendacious individuals on the left will use the opportunity to blame this act on right wing extremism. Von Brunn was wearing a confederate hat wasn’t he?
But the Reverend Wright (why doesn’t Wright count as a Christianist to Sullivan?) gives another example of Jew hatred, with his rant today.
Granted Wright is not a criminal or a murderer. Wright just mentions that Israelis are engaged in ethnic cleansing in Gaza. That is true. The Israeli Defense Forces did do ethnic cleansing in Gaza, they evicted several thousand Jooooooooooz so the Palestinians could have their ethnically pure Shangra la. How has that turned out?
So let’s question President Obama about anti Semitism. Obviously Von Brunn is a violent murderer beyond the pale for any rational person, but Wright’s comments are not acceptable are they? Ask if it is true Barack Obama told Israel it cannot bomb Iran. These are all legitmate questions. I would suggest we start asking them now.

But because we say things liberals don’t like, we are always automatically guilty of having helped some nutter like Von Brunn pull the trigger. Never mind that his obvious disdain for conservatives and Christians is a very close second to the disdain he held for the Jewish people.
Sad. My prayers to the families of the victims, and for mercy for Mr. Von Brunn.
Even sadder that, apparently, Mr. von Brunn was a WWII PT boat commander. Someone who did so much for the country reduced to this.
